Cordoba to Sevilla via Granada

This day trip from Cordoba to Sevilla stopping in Granada is one of the best excursions that you can consider while visiting Andalucia in the South of Spain.  If you don´t have a lot of days but would like to visit the maximum number of places, this is a great way to utilize your time well. You will wrap a transfer and a day trip into one that allows you to see one of the most famous and sought after monuments in Europe, the Alhambra, all from the comfort of a nice and air conditioned van. You depart Cordoba early, stop to visit the Alhambra in Granada for 3+h and continue onto Sevilla where you are dropped off. 

While you tour the Alhambra, your luggage stays with the van under the supervision of the driver. You then depart for Sevilla where you get dropped off at your hotel. 

In Granada you have the option of touring yourself or adding a local licensed guide to take you around or to guide you in the Alhambra. If you order a tour of the Alhambra, we will arrange the ticket entrances for you in advance.

Please know that your driver will speak basic to good english.  He is not a local guide and will have limited knowledge on history. If you would like to add the guide and entrances (extra of 360USD for guide plus entrances) with us we will organize the day around the time we get for the visit to Alhambra which can be difficult.

 For those who are lucky enough to have some time to spend exploring the South of Spain, the experience is always a memorable one.  Most of the images that we have of Spain, of course, come from the South, from brave bulls to flamenco dancers and rolling hills with white washed hilltowns stuck in between, the image stays with us.

Granada has much to offer with its lingering Moorish architecture and influence, the city offers a series of neighborhoods that will enchant you.  The viewpoints from the Albaicin are stunning and you will love the narrow winding streets that lead you to darling plazas with beautiful patios flanked by colorful bougainvillia flowers, typically found in the south of Spain.

One of the main highlights in this city sits perched high on a hill as a reminder of the distant memory of the former rulers of Spain. Built in the beautiful hills of Granada, the Alhambra was originally designed as a fortress complex but was later converted into a Palace.  It is easy to see why the Emirs made it their Royal home as its beauty cannot be matched. In fact, this would be the last Palace ruled by the Muslim Dynasty of Nasrid before its Reconquest by the Catholic Monarchs in 1492.  You can also see why the former rulers did not go willingly.  It´s majestic and unique design have earned a declaration from Unesco as a World Heritage Site.  Many songs, stories and poems have been inspired by this beautiful structure. Alhambra´s many rulers paint a colourful history to this architectural wonder they called their beloved Alcazar or Castle.
