While we have called this outing, walking the Camino de Santiago in 1 day, it is true that it would be impossible to walk the camino in one day. Our aim is to present an opportunity to those who are interested in this amazing journey, would like to learn more and get a taste of what the Pilgrims experience when entering into the city of Santiago after their long walk. We have designed this day so you can walk a few miles of the prettiest stretches we choose near Melide, a few miles from Santiago. Along with your guide, we will explore, talk and enjoy the Pilgrim atmosphere, while doing exercise and learning about the Camino and the nervous anticipation of the final stretch before reaching the sacred city where the remains of St. James (Santiago) are supposedly buried. The film "The Way" does not even come close to what the experience is. And today we give you a taste of it.

The day will begin by driving from your Santiago hotel to a start point. Our walk with the guide will be for approx. 4 miles. The guide will talk on the Camino and do a question and answer session with the clients. Then you have lunch with the guide (cost of lunch not included, count 15€) and then drive to Santiago de Compostela for an afternoon 3h tour with the highlights including talking on the Cathedral.

Walking the Camino de Santiago in the north of Spain is becoming a very popular trek for pilgrims from all over the world. It is said to be the next most frequented Pilgrimage to mecca. Some are inspired for religious reasons and others, spiritual, while many appreciate the history, love nature and want the chance to participate in something inspirational. While the end objective began as a religious journey to see the sacred remains of the Apostle St. James, this route is completed by thousands each year for many different reasons. From a tourist perspective, there is much to gain from ideal architecture, century old traditions, legends that have followed the Camino for centuries and finally great food and wine that can be celebrated along the way.

The length of time each traveler spends, depends on each individual but some dedicate months to the trek and others only have a couple weeks. Some participants opt to do the Camino in segments over a course of years, each year choosing a different part of the camino. No matter what you decide, it is sure to be an enlightening experience that we hope will bring you back for more.

Private Vacation Packages
Letango´s all inclusive trips that are pre-designed with a preset itinerary. They generally include accommodation, guided tours, transportation within Spain, entrance fees to monuments visited in the guided tours provided, a show, etc. They also come with our personal advice and recommendations. We are happy to have a consultation. We personally call all hotels before you check in to ensure they give you a nice room and are ready for you.

Private Day tours and activities
Day tours typically last between 3 and 9 hours depending on how much time you choose. They include a guide, sometimes entrances and are pre-designed with a set itinerary. These are walking tours but we can arrange bikes or segway.

Private Day trips
Usually include the service of a private driver-guide or driver and guide. They include meals, wine tastings and sometimes entrance fees depending on the tour. All are pre-designed with a preset itinerary.

Letango has put a lot of effort into designing a great number of tours for you to enjoy the culture of Spain and Portugal.

To book any of our tours, pick the size of your private group, the number of people traveling and add to cart. If you prefer not to make a full payment right away, you can opt to pay later.

In this case, we will send you an invoice for 50% deposit and then as we get closer to your service date, you will pay the balance in full. This is very typical when the tour or trip is not going to happen for a while.

Once we receive your order we will get in contact with you.
