Toledo is perhaps the best place in Spain to experience Sephardic history, and the Sephardic Toledo Guided Tour takes you there. You'll see two former synagogues, one of which includes the wonderful Sephardic museum, and walk the streets of the judería (Jewish quarter) with a guide specialized in bringing this city's fascinating Jewish past to life.

For centuries, Toledo was home to the largest Jewish population in the Western world--and some of the finest Jewish philosophers, poets, scientists, scholars and businessmen. Today, two of its synagogues survive and street names throughout the large judería remind us of what an integral part of the city the Jewish community was.
