 Days 1-4: Madrid
Welcome to this fabulous city. Today is an easy day so you can check in, get aquainted, relax and rest. We will give plenty of recommendations on how to ease into the city as well as provide you with dinner reservations on request. On the second day, you'll hop on the train for a guided tour of Toledo, covering the city's vast history as well as seeing the highlights of resident painter El Greco. Upon your return in the afternoon, we'll meet with you to go over your itinerary, followed by an orientation walk and tapas tour. Day three is a free day for you to explore the great art collections of the Prado Museum and Royal Palace on your own. OPTIONAL: Guided tour of the Prado Museum and the Royal Palace.
|  Days 4-7: Barcelona
On day four, you'll catch the new, high-speed AVE train to Barcelona in the morning, then have a guided tour of the Gothic quarter in the afternoon. This will give you a general overview of the city so you can tour monuments on your own in the following days. The famous markets, the Ramblas and Gaudà architecture are some of the highlights in this popular European destination. On your second night, you'll have dinner reservations at a nice and typical Catalan restaurant. For your third day, options include Montjuic, Sitges beach or an optional day trip out. |
